General Terms

Wear and Tear: All items available for hire have been worn previously and may show signs of minimal wear and tear. Please consider this when hiring.

 

Booking and Payment

Payment: A deposit or full payment is required to confirm your booking. Payments are made via bank transfer.

- ID Requirement: A form of ID (government driver’s license, passport, or photocard) is required to secure your booking. This is for security while the garment is in your possession.

- Pickup and Return: Garments can be picked up 1-2 days before your event and returned 1-2 days after. The average hire duration is five days.

- Extended Hire: If an extended hire period beyond seven days is needed, an additional $10 per day will apply.

- Booking Channel: All bookings are made via Instagram direct messages.

 

Store Credits and Refunds

No Refund Policy: Hire by Her does not provide refunds under any circumstances.

Store Credits: Store credits may be issued under the following conditions:

  - Postal Orders: If the item does not fit, a store credit will be granted if the item is posted back within one business day after receiving.

  - Pickup Orders: If the item does not fit, a store credit will be granted if it is returned the same day/night of pickup.

  - Try-On Appointments: If a try-on appointment has been scheduled and the item has been hired, no store credit will be issued.

  - Validity: Store credits are valid for six months from the hire date.

  - Store Credits/Vouchers: Orders placed using credits or vouchers are final and cannot be amended or canceled for another credit note.

 

Postage

Postal Service: Hire by Her uses Australia Post Express parcels.

Postage Fees: An additional $30 applies to the hire fee for postage, which includes express and return postage. This fee is non-negotiable.

Postage Delays: Hire by Her is not responsible for delays or lost items caused by Australia Post or third parties. If an item is delayed and does not arrive in-time, a store credit may be issued.

Responsibility: You are responsible for the garment after it has been delivered. If the item cannot be located after delivery e.g. lost, you are liable and must pay for the garment at its recommended retail price.

  

Return Postage

  - Use the prepaid label provided.

  - If you lose the prepaid label, you must cover the new postage costs and provide a new tracking number.

  - Return the garment the next business day after your event and provide proof of postage. If the parcel is lost or damaged by Australia Post, you are liable.

- Please provide proof of postage once returned, e.g. tracking number.

 

Pickup and Drop-off

Pickup: For weekend hires, pickups are available on Thursday and Friday. If the item is ready earlier, early pickup may be an option.

Drop-off: All garments must be returned by Sunday or Monday. 

Late Returns: Late returns incur a $10 fee per day. If you are unable to pay, Hire by Her reserves the right to take legal action or engage a debt collector to recover the owed funds.

 

Damage and Bond

An additional $30 bond payment is required for all hires. The bond will not be refunded if:

  - The item is returned in a damaged condition (e.g., stains, rips, holes).

  - The item requires extra cleaning beyond the standard cleaning process.

Stains: If the item is returned with stains that are severe, or unable to remove, the bond will not be refunded. 

Damage Fees: If the item is returned damaged, a fee will be charged based on the severity of the damage. 

Garment Care: While wearing Hire by Her garments, avoid drinking coloured beverages like red wine or wearing sharp jewellery. These can cause difficult stains and fabric pulls.

Repair or Replacement: If the item is damaged beyond repair, it must be replaced. Consideration will be given to prior wear and tear and the garment's current retail value.

Bond Refund: Bond refunds expire after three months. If you do not provide payment details within this time, the bond will not be refunded.

 

Try-On Appointments

Please visit the 'Book a Try-On' page of the website to book.

Duration: Try-on appointments last 30 minutes. Please be mindful of the time, as appointments are often back-to-back. There is also the option to book 1 hour appointments.

Location: Try-on appointments are free and take place in my studio in Cronulla. You will receive a confirmation message with the address the night before the appointment.

Group Appointments: Anyone can attend the try-on appointments, group bookings are available.

Hygiene: Please do not attend appointments after exercising or wearing makeup or fake tan.

Damage: If damage occurs during a try-on appointment, you must inform me, and a damage fee will apply.

Cancellation: If you regularly cancel your appointments you will be flagged and unable to book appointments.

 

Holiday Hire

Duration: A holiday period is deemed 1-3 weeks. I do not rent for longer than this period. 

1–3 garments: An additional $10 per day will apply after the standard 7-day hire period. This fee also covers any days the garments are in transit. If you’d like an exact quote, please DM me on Instagram — I’m always happy to work out the best possible price for you.

4+ garments: Enjoy extended hire at no extra cost.

Important Notes:

- Hire periods cannot exceed 30 days.

- Please do not wash garments during your trip — all cleaning will be handled once the items are returned.

- To avoid any risk of loss, we recommend packing garments in carry-on luggage rather than checked baggage.

 

Payment Confirmation

Proof of Payment: Payment confirmation is required to secure a booking. You must provide a transaction screenshot showing the provided BSB and account information. Garments will only be released once the payment is received.

 

Resale

Final Sale: All resale items are final and are not eligible for refunds, exchanges, or store credits.
